Drill (15 mins)

Numbers

5 reds, 5 yellows, 3 blues

area size 12 x 24 yards

The Session

- The 5 reds keep possession using the 3 blues.

- the 5 reds must make 10 passes to score a goal. Once they have scored, the yellows replace them as the attacking team.

- However if the yellows win possession of the ball before reds make thier 10 passes, they then become the attacking team.

- Whoever the attacking team is, they must keep in shape as above to allow for all passing outcomes.

- If the attacking team fail to keep their corner players in the corner, then penalise them by becoming the defending team.

- Play always starts from a pass out of a corner

Key Points

- Keep the Diamond shape in the middle of the pitch.

- Quality and strenght of the pass

- Quick Transitions

- Defenders try to cut off passing lanes

- The 3 blues must be CMF's as should the Red/Yellow central player
