-Immediate pressure to prevent penetration
-Delay attack (1st defender) until play becomes 2v2 - unless can win possession with heavy touch from opponents
-Body position (side on) and quick, short and sharp footwork when 1v1 defending
-Force attacker into dribbling and take away passing option (allowing 2nd defender time to recover)
-GK communication to trigger pressure and shape/recovering player
Progressions:
-Player A and D (Red) can both attack initially 2v1 then waiting Blue initiates transition/attack

Organization:
Set Up: 25L x 30W 3v3 transition
3v3 game, when a goal is scored the player that scored must run around the goal before they can get back and defend. The 3 players that got scored on - go off the field. The next 3 players come on QUICKLY with a new ball and attack opposite side. This creates a 3v2 situation until the 3rd defender recovers. If the ball leaves the field without a goal being scored then all 3 players from both teams go off and new players come on.
Coaching Points:
Progression: When shot on goal happens any attacker can go around/touch any goal (even if no goal is scored)

1v1 to Goal Transition Game (15 mins)
Organization:
The first person in line A dribbles forward and attempts to finish a 1 on 1 opportunity against the GK. As red strikes the ball a player from line B blue attacks the other goal and the player that just took the shot from line A must counter press and prevent Blue from scoring/penetrating.
If the player in line A can counter-press/recover, win the ball back, and score a second 2nd chance shot. Game continuous once goal scored or ball goes out.
