Players play from corner cone to opposite end of the pitch, dribbling around the cone and driving at the goal. Players can not shoot before crossing the line in front of the goals.

Close control, running with the ball at speed, controlled finish.

Players split into teams of 4 or 5 (if more players run the same drill over 2 areas to allow for maximum participation). As soon as player has taken their shot, next player goes, first team to complete the drill twice each receives 1 point, team that scored the most goals receives 1 point.

1v1 transition (10 mins)

First player (red) dribbles ball and has a free shot on goal, after crossing the line. As soon as player has taken their shot, this releases the other teams player (blue) who drives toward the opposite goal.

Red player has to make the transition from attack to defence and try to apply pressure on blue player, if red player wins the ball they can then try and score.

1v1 transition (10 mins)

If blue player scores, or red player if they stole the ball, or the ball goes out of play, this then releases the next red player to drive towards goal with the blue player now making the transition from attack to defence.

Emphasis is put on the players moving from attack to defence as quickly as possible, leaving their ball which can be collected once their phase is over.

Play continues until all players have had two attempts, take a quick break, then back to start again.

Drill should be run at a high tempo, showing the players how the game can change from attack to defence or defence to attack quickly, players should react as quickly as possible. This drill will help with defending from the front and also how to attack a team on the counter attack.
