-To be able to pass, receive and create space
-To understanding the basic concept of positioning- move to empty spaces rather than where a teammate already is

Organisation
-Players with a ball each
-Split players into one of the two Zones
Description
-Everyone begins by dribbling in their designated area.
-When coach blows whistle, players perform skills from last week at a Red cone-
1. Toe Taps
2. Inside Shuffle
3. Add 'Drag Back and Trap'
-When coach shouts SWITCH, players must cross into the opposite zone and continue dribbling.
Progression
1) Now on SWITCH, players will leave their ball at the nearest red cone. They will then cross over into the opposite zone and find another ball to continue dribbling with.
2) Now pair players with someone from the opposite group. E.g. Say player 1 and 2 on diagram.
Only players from one group have a ball. They dribble about, whilst the group without the ball move about in the area. When coach blows whistle, players with a ball looks for their partner in opposite zone and plays a pass to them.
Keep repeating but specifically look for passing technique with inside of the foot and control with the sole/inside.
3. Progress this in a one-two. Player 2 returns pass to player 1 and keeps moving while player 1 continues to dribble.
Coaching Points
-Communicate clearly with your partner, verbally and physically (by pointing i.e. to a cone)
-Look up to see where partner is, even when dribbling.
See the guidance at the top of this page to understand why you are not seeing interactive Football/Soccer images.
Organisation
-Set up three triangles using different colours. RED, BLUE AND GREEN. Divide players into three groups and position them at the cone furthest away from the coach.
- Coach has footballs in the middle. Players are on their toes.
Description
Start without a ball. Each time coach shouts a colour, first player from that group sprint out towards the traffic cone and back to the end of their queue.
2. Now then run backward
3. Make it a race between all three groups.
Using a ball:
1. Coach stands in the middle and has ball to begin with. When he shouts a colour, player from that group sprints to the front of the triangle and gives the coach a one two. They then go to the back of their queue.
Focus on passing technique and quick movement. Inside Pass, recieve with inside or sole.
Progression:
1. Can player now recieve with 3 toe taps before they pass back to the coach? Add inside shuffle or drag back and trap.
2. Can players pass and join the group on their left now?
3. Now players have a ball each, coach now gives the one two. Players need to focus on keeping their ball under control and dribbling to the next group.
