Circuit I - Wide-Mid (20 mins)

Organization:

1.Field size- 20x15

2.Blue cone to Red cone: 8 yds/Blue cone to Red cone: 7 yds

3. 8 players

4. Two grids of 4 players

Instructions:

Part A:

1.Wide players check back and wide (sideways on)

2.Player 1 plays the ball to wide player and they combine with a double pass, Player 1 plays ball to opposite wide player who takes 1st touch and plays to ST.

3. Wide players check to ball and continue pattern.

Part B

1. Player 1 combines with wide players and perform wall pass.

2. Player 1 passes ball to ST. Player 1 checks wide to next ball as well as wide player that was not involve in the combination.

3. Wide player that made wall pass becomes Target player

4. Continue Pattern

Part C:

Coaching Points:

- Main points needed to complete a sharp pass : Accuracy & Pace

1. Place body behind flight of ball.

2. Open door (open hips)

3. Toes up ankle locked (passing w/ inside)

4. Make contact on center of ball

5. Follow through straight & low ( no high swing)

Movement off the ball:

1. Check back and wide (feet on line)

2. Double pass: Use near foot

3. Wall pass: Use far foot

Progressions:

Competition: 1 pt for each pass.

Circuit II - Center-mid (20 mins)

Organization:

1.Field size- 20x15

2.Blue cone to Red cone: 8 yds/Blue cone to Red cone: 7 yds

3. 6-8 players

Instructions:

1. Blue cones: CB & ST - Yellow cones: Wide player - Red cones: CM

2. Play starts from Player 1. Center-mid checks to ball and plays a double pass with center back.

3. Center back plays the ball to the opposite side wide player. Wide player finds Forward.

4. After pass to Striker, Wide players check to opposite side.

5. Center-mids switch roles - One attacks - Other puts light pressure behind. Continue Pattern

Coaching Points:

Circuit III - Posession to Targets (20 mins)

Organization:

1. Field size: 25x15

2. 8 players

3. Four teams of two players

Instructions:

1. Players play 2v2 in the middle with the help of two wide players

2. Each team receives points by playing the ball from target player to target player in the same play.

3. Rotate roles after 3 minutes

Coaching Points:

Movement off the ball: Wide player

1. Check back and wide (feet on line)

2. Double pass: Use near foot

3. Wall pass: Use far foot

Movement off the ball: Central Player
