Technique

Session Organisation: Area is 30x30yds but can be adjusted to meet the needs of players age and ability. Lay out a number of coned gates around the area. There are a total of 10 players, in pairs with a ball between them. The objective is for the player on the ball to pass through a gate for their partner to mke a timed forward run onto the ball.

Session Organisation: Area is 40x30yds with two 15x15yd areas at opposite corners of the area, areas can be adjusted to suit age and ability of players. In one grid play 4 attackers against 2 defenders, who start with the ball, in the other grid play 3v1. The objective of the practice is for the 4 attackers to combine within the grid and to pass to a forward runner who breaks out of the grid. As soon as the ball is passed to the runner 1 of the defenders has to give chase. When the forward running player approaches the grid they must pass into the grid and join in. The chasing defender also joins in to make another 4v2, the practice continues.

Session Organisation: Area is 40x30yds with a 10x30 area at either end. Play 4v4 in the middle with two players who play for the team in possession. Objective of the game is for the team in possession to pass the ball into an end zone for a forward runner. to start with they can attack either end zone.

The floating players can only pass to one of the team in possession, they cant pass directly into the endzones themselves.
