2 Rondo grids. Team 1 starts playing a 3v1. While team 2 is passing the ball. The person that loses possession of the ball or makes a bad pass, needs to go and defend in the other rondo to try to win that ball.
You can then do a 3v1 rondo and a 4v1 rondo.
Lots of movement from players on the outside. Middle player must work hard to force the outside players to make mistakes.

Is a 4v2 plus 1 Rondo. The shaded (target) player is always looking for space in the middle to receive the ball. Encourage the outside players to connect with the target player.
You can restrict the touches of the Target player (no more than 3, play 2 touches and then finally one touch pass)

Split players into defensive and offensive. Ball on both sides of the field. Serve balls to attacking players and have defenders pressure them as high as possible.
Work on defensive form, one foot in front, one behind, light on the feet. Defender should be able to quickly adjust. Wait for attacker to make a move, do not over commit.
After the 1v1s, you can move into a 4v4 and work on the 4 defenders (Pressure, Cover, Balance).

In this example, Blue is trying to block the through passes from Red. The Red team is trying to play the target players in order for them to score.
If Blue team wins the ball, they try to play forward to their target players.
Playing continues at full speed. Have set of balls ready to go so that there is a 'flow' to the game.
We are coaching the defending team only. Praise good blocks and good defensive movements. Always encourage the defenders to try to block that pass!
Think of Pressure, Cover, Balance

3V1 Simple Rondo (10 mins)
3V1 Keep away. Encourage the players to take advantage of the empty space behind the defender. Play the ball behind the defenders back. Player that makes a bad pass or loses the ball goes in the middle. Start off at a slower pace, then demand game speed.
