Everyone has their own views on the "best" way to defend corners. This method is a hybrid, zonal/man-marking method. Some teams have one on the post, some have 2.
Only the front post is marked in this example.
If the attacking team take a short corner, the front post player and the front space player go out.

Zonal players should have overlapping arcs of responsibility.
Remember "Early shout - sorts it out!".
Generally speaking, players coming AWAY from the goal should have priority over Man Markers to head away.
All press to the 18 yard line then re-assess.

One player is always nominated to occupy the "front post space".
4-5 yards from the touchline and a yard in front of the 6 yard box.
1 player is always left up the pitch, on the same side as the corner kick.
3 players along the 6 yard line to attack high balls in the "zone" in front of them.
