Description: 8v8 Defence to Attack transition

Set up:

Practice:

Team attacking the goals starts (blues in the diagram) by taking a ball from behind the blue line
Objective is to score in 1 of the 3 goals - (1 point for wide goals, 3 for the middle goal)
Once the attack is finished, either by scoring a goal or the ball goes out of play - a coach immediately plays a ball into the defending team (yellows) who then try to score by dribbling past or receiving a pass in behind the blue line. (2 points for getting past the line)
Blue team must quickly transition into defence and attempt to win the ball back quickly and score

Progression:

Blue continuously defend in the first phase.
Coach passes to yellow team and the blues apply a high press trying to win the ball and then counter at pace
When the Blue counter attack is finished, coach plays a ball into yellows from the opposite side
Blues must then switch their point of defence and apply a new high press
