Teaching players how to give good passing options for player in possession

Organization:
Three to four 15x15 grids (adjust size for players as needed). Four players per grid in the same colour bib (add more girds (D) as needed). One ball per grid.
Instructions:
Players play 3v1 against players in their group. Player with the least amount of passes completed against them win. Two minute games, then rotate defender.
Coaching Points:
* Make sure players are reciving the ball on the back foot with hips open to the field
* Have players move while the ball is moving to always offer two options
* Make sure defenders are making the attackers better
* When and why to play a double pass back out of pressure
Progressions:
1) Shadow defender (same team)
2) Active defender (same team)
3) Player from different grid defends (players are numbered one through four, coach calls numbers) Turny play with changing defender. Team who keeps the ball in longest gets a point. Defenders get a point if they can win the ball and score in the pug goals

Organization:
Players split in half, one team in a 3-3-1 and one team in a 2-4-1. Free play on field as shone above.
Players have full width and play to 18 yard lines as end lines.
Instructions:
Free play, teams are in 3-3-1 formation and 2-4-1 formation
Teams get 1 point for scoring a normal goal, and 5 points if they are able to connect 10 passes in a row.
Coaching Points:
1) Make sure player with possession has at min two options to pass (or three, split option)
2) Movement while the ball is traveling to be a option right away
3) Pass backward if needed to keep the ball
Progressions:
1) Players need to make 10 passes before scoring
2) If players make 10 passes, 1 point, regular goal, 3 points
3) Free play, no restrictions

Gates of Champions Warmup (20 mins)
Organization:
Two 2 yard gates in center of two grids, with a blue cone 7 yards away from the gate on each side. Split players in half with half at each gird (A and B). One soccer ball per group.
Instructions:
Players attempt to pass through the gate for a point. The coach changes how the pass must be played. First team to get winning number of passes in a row is winner of that round.
Coaching Points:
* Qaulity of first touch to set up pass
* Quality of pass though gate
* Technical points of passing and reciving the ball
* How to have good techique under pressure
Progressions:
1) Two touch through gate (either foot)
2) Two touch though the gate (must use both feet in order right, left, right, left, etc)
3) One touch strong foot only
4) One touch weak foot only
