2 equal grids of 15x15 set up next to each other. Starting in Grid 1 the Red team play Rondo / Possession as a 4v2. Whenever the opportunity presents itself, the Reds try to switch the play into Target Man 'B' in Grid 2. Everyone except Target Man 'A' run into Grid to and resume Rondo. The goal is to keep possession and to open up and play into space.
Switch roles after 5 minutes. Again, Coach has a supply of balls ready to keep the game moving.

Open the grid up to 20x20. Having 2 defenders now poses an additional problem for the team in possession. Workrate and intelligence of movement have to be better in order to keep the ball. Players are no longer bound to their lines although the lines may be used by the coaches to explain how to change the passing angle.
Coach, be prepared with a supply of balls.

Initially, try to play the 6v2 in the same 20x20 space as the 5v2. If the players are struggling ith the limited space (and understandably so as this would likely require a 1-touch limit) you can open the space up again another 5 yards in both directions. Players are now seperated outside, 2 on 2 sides and 1 on the remaining 2 sides.
Make sure to switch the defenders ever few minutes.

6v3 in a 25x25 grid. Players are again no longer restricted to their lines but should be encouraged to use the space correctly. Notice here how 2 players are away from the play so that the passer can open up and find them.

The 7v3 creates a new dynamic similar to the 5v3. Here we have the 6 players spread around the outside of the 25x25 grid, but the one player in the middle is new. This version of Rondo would be very useful for coaching a Center Midfielder as the requirements of the middle player are vast and specific. Being able to find the space, turn under pressure and also pass and receive with limited touches are key to success here.
In a grid this size (a with the players' tendencies to crowd the ball) the coach can suggest another way of finding the open man at the opposite side: a lobbed pass.

20x30 Grid. 2 teams of 4 attempt to keep possession. A third (neutral team) of 3 players is always on offense, creating a 7 vs 4.

4v1
15 x 15 grid to start. Players move along their lines in order to create a passing angle. Speed of play is important so a 2-touch limit should be imposed.
Smaller grid size and 1-touch limit are natural progressions for more capable teams.
Coach has balls ready in order to keep the game moving.
