Attack vs Defence
Attacking overload 4 vs 3 outfield players.
Attackers objectives to make the right decisions shoot, pass, or protect the ball and keep possession.
Defenders objectives is to stop any goals being scored working as a unit Gk, 2 CB and 1CDM. DENY space, being compact, DELAY slow the attacking play and DIRECT play away from danger shielding and showing the attacking player on their weaker foot.
Defenders remember !
When do we press ? Bad touch, slow pass, attackers head is down, receiving back to goal. team mates compact and in numbers.
When do we delay a press? out numbered, Player has his head up looking to play or run with the ball, team mates not close to press the second or third man.
If you gain possession can you play a forward pass to Coach or play a pass through either two cones or dribble if situation dictates .
Goal Keepers
