DIAMOND SHAPE:
- To Maintain our attacking teamshape, our shape should disperse and spread out from end to end and side toside.-left and right midfielders need to get wide when we have the ball, and tuck in when defending
- The forward should be the highestplayer and should always come back to defend to centre line
- The forwards positioning should either be level with the last defenderon the opposing team or on the half way line.
Terminology
Goal side- to defend in between the opposing attacker and goal (protecting the goal)
Tuck in- move towards the middle of the field
Get wide- move out to the sideline so your feet are touching the side line
Push up- move forward
Pressure- close down your opponents quickly.
Be Patient- when defending, stay close within arms length, don't dive in
Spread out- defenders, midfielders get wide, CM stays central, CF- stays high with last defender
Free Kick- always 2 touch, one player stands on the ball to roll it to the shooter, one player is the shooter( when close to goal)
