Organization:
- Adapt the size of the are to the ability of the players
- 4 gates, 2 reds and 2 blues across the same colour
- 6 players or more divided in 2 teams
- 1 player in each gate, 2 players (diff team) in the middle
Instructions:
- Players are playing 1v1 in the middle. Player on red is trying to pass their teammate across from them. When a player in the middle connects a pass to his/her teammates, he/she will take that spot and the receiving player dribbles into play trying to beat the defender and play across to their teammate. If the defender wins the ball, they transitions to attacker and tries to find their teammate in a gate and the game continues.
-If after 5 transitions and the same defender is still in the middle, he/he can switch with another teammate.
Progressions:
- 1v1 + 1 (add a neutral player in the middle who can be used to transition the ball or as a decoy)
- 2v2 (can turn it into a 2v2 and the player who passes the ball leaves the area and the other stays)
Coaching Points:
- Positive first touch (away from pressure)
- Awareness of open space to exploit
- Change of speed and direction
- deception using skill moves and body movement

Organization
As above
Instructions:
Yellow start with 2v1 attack - as soon as yellow teams shoots, the two red players beside the goal dribble out and counter attack right away with two players against one yellow defender. The player to last touch the ball on the attacking team leaves the playing area and the other one becomes the defender.
Progression:
1. One of the attacking players can stay and defend after shooting while the other must touch the post of the goal they are shooting on and become a recovering defender
2. This can move into a 2v2 attack (after attacking your pair become the defenders while the par that was defending leave the playing field)
Coaching Points
1. Dribble at defender at speed (Change of speed and direction)
2. Unbalance the defender and attack open space
3. Decision making ( when to pass and when to dribble)
4. Use other player as a support player or decoy

Skill Move Showcase (10 mins)
Set Up:
The field is split into two equal halves with a dividing centre line. The players are position in pairs across the grid from their partner. All the players have a ball and on the coaches command, they dribble toward the centre line before turning turning and returning to their starting position.
Instruction:
To start out, the players will dribble to the center and turn to dribble back to their line. To increase the tempo and speed, give the players a 60 second time for them to see how many times they can to the center and back. A point is earned when you return to your starting position.
Types of turns to perform:
- inside/outside foot cut
- step-on turn
- pull back
- add more if needed
Progression:
Instead of a turn at the center line, the players will perform a skill move and dribble to the opposite side. At the end, they will perform one of the turns we worked on before and continue going. works best if the partners dribble at the same time towards each other towards the red cone at center and then do their move and quickly dribble to the other side.
Types of skill moves to perform:
- body faint
- scissors
- stepovers- Mathews move
- add more if needed
Coaching Points:
- Acceleration after the turn or skill move
- Change of direction (load weight to explode and balance)
- Use of body movements to deceive defender
- Timing (when to perform the turn or skill move in order to be effective)
