Drill designed to show general positional play for 7 a side game
Cone off the pitch into areas for the defenders, wingers, central midfielder and striker
Passing unopposed and thereafter add opposition team players one by one thus increasing the difficulty
End with full 7 v 7 game

Add 3 opposing players initially behind retreat line
Ball starts from attacking team's goalkeeper
Once ball in play the opposing team can move anywhere on the pitch and must try to win the ball for a chance on goal. Attacking team must pass the ball trying to move it forward into the striker whilst staying in their marked zones
Consider conditions to keep players in their zones e.g. oppositon get a penalty if you leave your zone
Add more opposition players to increase the difficulty

If Attacking team loses the ball they should look to drop back 1 zone and become compact in defence trying to win the ball back as quickly as possible before re-entering their original zones

Each player has their own area of the pitch and must stay within their zone
Ball starts with the green goalkeeper and team work the ball towards the striker for a shot at goal. Condition how many passes must be played before it reaches them
Focus on player being on their toes, being ready for the pass, accurate passes with inside of foot, movement within marked zones, communication - putting a name on the pass, shouting for the ball
