Combinations in Boxes.
All groups do the combination for 2 minutes, then move box and perform same combination (4 x 2 minutes) to vary passing distances.
Combination 1 (Shown in Box 3):
- 1 plays to 2.
- 2 plays first time pass on diagonal to 3.
(1 and 2 swap positions)
- 3 receives on half turn and plays to 4.
- 4 sets to 3 who plays first time pass to 1
(3 and 4 swap positions).
(SEQUENCE REPEATS)
Coaching Points:
Players on the outside must show at an angle.
The middle players must receive a pass from the outside players at an angle and with the backfoot on the half turn (necessary to see both inside and outside players).
All players should move to meet the ball and not wait for it.
Good weight of pass.
Timing of runs is crucial!
