Go into squares (15 mins)

THE SESSION: Go into Squares

Players jog round freely.

Coach calls a colour or colours and players rush into the specified square/squares & stay there.

For example, if a coach calls RED, the players need to go into the red square.

If a coach calls RED & BLUE, the players must go to red square and blue square.

Every time going into the square, players must do certain technique or skill move.

-Ball taps

-Inside touches

-pull push

-scissors/step overs, etc

PROGRESSIONS:

1)

Same game and introduce a ball.

The players dribble round to go into the squares instead of running.

2-1)

Each square is the safe zone.

Introduce a defende who tries to tag the players.

A defender tries to tag players and the players must try to get away from the defender by using the safe zones.

The Defender cannot go into the square and the players can only stay a square within 3 seconds.

2-2)

A coach can specify the safe zone by colour/colours.

Pass and round

1) Red passes Blue and Blue kicks into a goal.

Blues go round clockwise and Reds go round unti-clockwise

2) Red to Blue, return to Red, set to Blue to shoot into a goal

Blues go round clockwise and Reds go round unti-clockwise

3) Red passes to Blue and Blue takes it to the opposite goal.

Blues follows the ball (A to B) and Reds go round unti-clockwise (B to A)

1v1

1) Red pass to Blue and 1v1. If Red gets a ball, he must go out from the box.

Blues go round clockwise and Reds go round unti-clockwise

2v1

1) Red pass to Blue and 2v1. If Red gets a ball, he must go out from the box.

1st Blue goes out to the next station and 2nd Blue stays. Red goes to their next station.
