Zeman Kick Off

• Opposition will either press high and leave gaps in channels and leave space in behind, or drop low and leave space in front to exploit

• Virtual guarantee that you will gain an attacking advantage as you are placing the ball in the attacking phase - a throw-in in the attacking phase or a goal kick will be the worst possible outcome, and even then your side can still pressure and force errors upon the opposition

• As kick off will only be in our favour at start of a half or upon conceding a goal, it is rational to use this every time

The Overload

Against opposition utilising a Low Block, to pull the group apart and out of its compressed state, it's worth creating an overload on one side of the pitch, pulling the opposition and creating confusion especially for the majority of teams that will use zonal marking systems.

The 2nd Pass

There are several options available to the centrebacks, either directly to the overloaded side, or more effectively, to the left back who can place a diagonal ball into the box with the runners in a position of numerical superiority.
