Movement based drill
Players are only allowed to move diagonally and side ways
- once they get to each cone they complete a different skill to take them into either one of those directions
- They cannot go to a cone if another player is already there

Pressure, Cover Balance
3v3
- 3 attackers and 3 defenders
- attackers start with the ball beside the goal, their aim is to get the ball in the end zone
- the defenders will be working on pressing high, covering and player giving the team balance
- defenders aim;
1. if they win the ball in the zone closest to goal (high pressure) - 3 points
2. if they win it with the covering player, middle zone (covering) - 2 points
3. if they recieve it in the last zone by the player giving balance (low pressure) 1 point
Progression
Once the defenders win the ball they are then free to score
two teams swap over
Key Points
- Player pressing to make command before closing down the ball so team mates can support and cover accordnigly
- players should be shaped like a triangle to ensure they are covering each other
- if attacker gets past defender, a recovery run shouold be made to now pick up a new position and new role within the group.
