Communicating
Being positive on the ball
Core Learning Objectives
Encourage all players when receiving the ball to adopt an open body shape, with their shoulders facing the pitch, and ensure they can see both goals.
Each player should attempt to break a line with a positive first touch forward when receiving the ball.
Players should look to find effective spaces to receive the ball by taking the defender away in the opposite direction from where they want to receive the ball and then moving quickly into the space that has been created.
