THE SESSION: Finishing with pressure from behind
-Ball starts with the player in black who will likely be the coach.
-When the coach passes the ball through, the attacker in red runs on to finish quickly.
- The defender, who is in white, chases the attacker down to force a sense of urgency in the shot.
- After Play: Red becomes GK, White moves to blue cone line, GK moves to red cone line.
- Once this shot is taken, both players are off are the next one steps up.
- Serve balls quickly, make sure the players get plenty reps!
-Can use mini goals for U6 & U7 w/o GK
PROGRESSION:
- After the first shot is made, a ball is played in to the defending player for a 1v1 against the initial attacker.
Finishing:

- Awareness of pressure from defender and pressure coming from GK (don't panic)

THE SESSION: 1v1 to Side Gates:
- Create two separate 1v1 groups within the same space to get more repetitions if needed.
- S (coach if needed) plays the ball into the space. X goes, followed by O and the game begins.
- X tries to score in A or B only on the side across from where they started from: playing positive (forward)
- Vary the start position; players now link arms, arms across chest.
