Practice Organisation
Area is 12 yds wide and 24 yds long; at least 3 yards between each gate; gates are 1 yard wide
Detail
Players will dribble under control and go through all gates without touching any of the cones
Goal is to finish as fast as possible; one course can then lead into another course, opposite
Progression: once thru a gate, player then makes an immediate turn around either cone, using inside or outside of the foot - Hook Turns
Key Coaching Points
Small control touches with the inside and outside of both feet; try and increase your speed thru course
Keep the ball close to your feet, especially during the Hook Turns, soft touches
Awareness, keep your eyes up and avoid collisions with other players

Practice Organisation

Passing starts on the endline, goes wide first, then to the top of the 18 yard box (shooter)
After finishing, shooter collects ball and joins the opposite side
Detail
First round of shooting from both sides is used as the warm up
Competition, team 1 vs team 2, most goals in 2 minutes; teams shoot from both sides
Vary the distance by placing a restraining line in front of goal, shooters cannot go beyond this line
Key Coaching Points
Accuracy and weight of pass; good first touch that takes you towards goal, under control
Balance, power and accuracy of finishing; aim for small sided goals as targets
