Key coaching points and objectives
-Children can respond to simple instructions
-Children will be travelling in different ways around the area.
-Children will be negotiating space successfully.
-Children will move freely with pleasure and confidence around the area.
Good for: introducing attacking and defending, strategy and tactics.
Depending on number of children in session- hoops and beanbags/markers to make game a challenge
Scatter the hoops around the area in which you are working.
Split the class in half - smugglers or pirates.
The pirates have a 30 second head start to place bean bags in their correct corresponding coloured hoop. On the blow of the whistle, the smugglers 'steal' the bean bags from their correct hoops and place them incorrectly.
The pirates have to keep going to try and remedy the problem.
