Instructions
25x20 grid in wide area.
2v1 against a defender. Winger and Full back looking to create an overload in a wide area to create success for the ball carrier.
Run of supporting full back to cause defender to step off and contain winger.
Examples and Scenarios
A) Supporting full back moves around the outside of the ball making an overlapping run. The defender has to back off and contain, allowing time and space for the player on the ball to step inside and get a shot or pass off.
B) Supporting full back moves inside on the underlap. The defender has to go with him as he has moved into a more threatening position closer to the goal. The winger now has space to explode into and find a cross or pass.
Points
Timing the decision making by the winger with the overlap or underlap of the full back.
Mixing up moves to be unpredictable in attack.
Conditions
Timed practice to produce more game realism - opposing player would receive help from team mate after a few seconds - be quick in attack.

Instructions
8v8 SSG Attack vs Defence.
Attacking team can only score when play comes from a wide (shaded) area.
Defending team score by passing the ball to the coach (or player) - acts as a player for the blues.
Points
Keep hold of ball and look to play through wide areas.
Positional:
-Striker- remain central to give team width and depth and make opposite to near runs as ball gets to an area before it gets played in.
-#10- player to give numerical advantage and ease the play in the midfield. Drop deep to receive ball, pivot with play and movement to receive.
-FB's- make blindside runs to force opposition wide players back and to create overload against opposing FB.
-Wingers- be direct and look to beat FB with trickery and intelligence used throughout session.
-CM's- be support players for the ball. Don't be afraid to switch the play to move the opposition around and create space.
