U11-U12: Crossing and Finishing Progression
1) A takes diagonal touch and finishes on goal while C is the chaser and provides pressure on shooter without winning the ball.
2) B takes a diagonal touch down the line and plays 2v1 (A+B vs C). A looks to get open while C is trying to prevent B from penetrating towards goal and preventing pass to A.
(Purpose is not for defender to keep winning, need to teach decision making for players on the ball)
Rotation: A > B > C
3) Switch servers
Coaching Points: Decision making, timing of runs, crossing and finishing
*** Back Four works on functional stuff by themselves while attackers are working on crossing and finishing

1v1 Finishing Progression (10 mins)
1v1 Finishing Progression
1. A (Defender) passes to B (Attacker) on the cone in front of them and then chases to prevent goal scoring opportuntiy. Attacker needs to take positive touch towards goal to take a shot. If Defender wins it they can dribble through two red cones close to half line for 1 point.
Rotation: A > B > C > A
2. A (Attacker now) passes to B (Defender now) and gets it right back. B works on how proper body angle to defend and A works on going 1v1 with speed and aggression to get a shot off. If Defender wins it they can dribble through two red cones close to half line for 1 point.
Rotation: A > B > C > A
Set-up: These two activities are to be done in succession. First do activity 1 on both sides then after 5-7 minutes do activity 2 on both sides.
Coaching Points: Good invididual attacking and defending skills
