In the second block, the teams are restricted to a minimum of three passes before breaking the line and playing the ball to the other end area. This helps the players to make the area as wide as possible to try open gaps between the middle team players.

In this block, one player from the middle zone enters the area in which the ball is inside. The team with the ball's aim is to perform 3 passes without losing the ball and then deliver the ball to the other side. Push the players to make the middle team as wide as possible to open gaps between the players.

During the block of free play the teams in the outside area are allowed a maximum of 3 touches at a time. They will be allowed to do as little or as many passes as they want to before trying to play the ball through the middle zone into the furthest zone.
