Objective: Find a penetrating player in transition moments.
Description: 40 by 40 yard grid. 2 teams. 3 players on one half and three players on the other half. Within the middle channel there is a target/attacking player for each team. Ball starts from an endline and the 3 players on that end look to penetrate either by passing, dribbling, or shooting. Once a goal is scored, or the ball goes out on one end, the team on that end rotates out with the three players waiting on the outside. The attacking team would become the defending team and the new group of three would become the attacking team.
Coaching Points:
1. Find a penentrating player once the ball is won
2. Once a penetrating player is found, can they make a checking run to create space in behind?
3. The check, is the cue for a penetrating ball into feet or into the a secondary stretching run into the space left behind by the checking player.

Objective: Create larger game-like scenario to emphasize coaching points in previous stage. Looking for penetration from attacking players through dribbling, passing, or shooting.
Description: Half field. 9 v 9. (1-4-3-1) v (1-4-3-1). Teams looking to find penetrating opportunities once the ball is won. If penetrating opportunity is not available, create through other attacking principles. Coaching points are addressed once the ball is won and there is a transition opportunity.
Coaching Points:
1. Once the ball hits the target player, other players must make stretching runs to penetrate beyond back line.
2. The player who receives the ball after their stretching run, can shoot pass or dirble to penetrate again.
3. The stretching run is the cue for the penetrating pass into that run.

Technical Warm-up Game
Objective: To warm players up by introducing them to the topic and coaching points early on.
Description: Grid: 20 x 20 (Appears larger in picture.) There are 2 teams of 4 players and one team of 3 players. The 4 players on the outside, along with the team of three, are looking to keep the ball from the team of 4 in the middle. A point is scored when every player touches the ball. If the defedning team in the middle wins possession or knocks the ball out of play, then the two teams of 4 rotate. The defending team is not allowed to leave the area when defending. The goal for the players is for the players on the outside to move the ball quickly, looking move the ball away from pressure to allow for the opportunity to find penetrating passes as quickly as possible. Every 2-3 minutes, at the beginning, play will be stopped to allow for dynamic stretching and movements in preparation for increased intensity throughout the session.
Coaching Points:
1. Find Penetrating Passes through movement and communication to teammates
2. Can we move the ball quckily once we have won the ball and not allow the defense to get into position?
3. Can we look to be in supporting areas before the player receives a pass?
