Set Up-
spilt the players into 3 lines with a ball each, 3 cones
Drill-
First blue -player dribbles straight and strikes the ball with their left foot, after his shot he turns and comes towards the orange player as a passive defender.
Orange player -attacks defender with speed, makes a move and quickly has a shot after their move. encourage the player to quickly get their shot off once they have a step on the defender.
Last Blue player -player dribbles straight and strikes the ball with their right foot.
Work for about 5-10 min then rotate positions.
Coaching Points-
-proper angle of approach
-attack with speed generate more power
-part of the foot ( laces)
-part of the ball (middle)
-lean over the ball
-non kicking foot placement ( close to the ball)
-follow through towards the goal
remember Toe Knee Chest Nut ( head)- Per Steven killen
- toe pointed down, knee, chest and nut over the ball to create one straight line
Coaching points for Orange player
- attack the defender with speed
- good 1vs1 move- really sell your move
- once you get past the defender get you shot off quickly.

Orange player -attacks defender with speed, makes a move and quickly has a shot after their move. encourage the player to quickly get their shot off once they have a step on the defender. If they go left the first time tell them their next turn they should go right.
Last Blue player -player dribbles on a diagonal to have a shot with his/her left foot. After his/her shot they turn and come towards the orange player as a passive defender.
If you want after awhile you can have the defender become live to try and win the ball.
Sequence, blue player , orange player , blue player, back to orange etc.

Drill-
First blue -player dribbles straight ahead makes a move on the mannequin, cuts inside to have a shot. In this drill they can still use their laces but encourage your players to try and shoot with their (instep of right foot) or (outside of their left foot) and bend the ball into far post. after his /her shot they turn and come towards the orange player as a passive defender.
Orange player -attacks defender with speed, makes a move and quickly has a shot after their move. encourage the player to quickly get their shot off once they have a step on the defender. If they go left the first time tell them their next turn they should go right.

Black player-make a diagonal pass across to the blue player that is making a run, blue player takes the pass in stride and dribbles forward. The blue player can either have a shot with their left foot ( laces) or cut inside and have a shot with the right foot. If the players cuts inside encourage your players to try and shoot with their (instep of their right foot) trying to bend the ball far post. After his /her shot they turn and come towards the orange player as a passive defender.

Shooting Warm-up
Set up one box 5x5 yards in front of 18 yrd box ( or closer depending on your age group), 2 cones orange few yards back. 2 cones for players starting position 5 yards back.
A)- Blue players pass the ball into the red box, make a run around orange cone and has a shot on goal. Repeat with other side ( Green players) using left foot. With the younger ages after you shoot you become the goalie, unless there is a full time keeper.
***You want them to make the run around the orange cone so they get the idea of getting the porper angle to shoot.
