Session Objectives
What? Develop relationship of #2,3,4 in conjunction with #6,10
When? - When one side of the field is congested and we want to exploit space on the opposite side
Where? Middle third
Who? - #2,3,4 (in conjunction with #6,10)
Why? - To create effective possession when trying to play from one side of the field to the other
Team Tactical Principles
1. Spread out
2. Utilize space and triangulate to create passing options
3. Pass or dribble forward when possible or hold the ball
4. Create diagonal passing lines

TOTAL DURATION: 15 minutes
3 rounds of 3 min. / 1 min. recovery (in between each round) / 4 min. recovery (transition to next activity)
INTENSITY: Moderate to hard
DIMENSIONS: L20xW30yds (2 set ups).
DESCRIPTION:
1) Start unopposed. 2 balls going at once. All players work inside the orange cones but one can pop out to an endline at any time to receive. Both teams looking to pass from endline to endline. Prepare the players physically, psychologically and technically for the session (open body shape looking to receive the ball accross body).

- Body shape to receive the ball
- Create diagonal passing lanes

INTENSITY: Hard

DESCRIPTION:
1) 4v4 (6 goal game). Ball must be played into one of the outside channels before team can score (dribble through gates to score).
2) Rotate players in every 2 min.
COACHING POINTS:
- Body shape to receive the ball
- Create diagonal passing lanes
- Ball possessor: identify dribble or pass, don’t risk possession
INDIVIDUAL PLAYER TASKS:
- #2/3: provide width
- #4/5: provide depth
- #6: looking to support the #4 diagonally / in between lines

DIMENSIONS:
The course is made up of six pairs of parallel cones, approximately 5-6 yards apart.
DESCRIPTION:
- Two players start at the same time from the first pair of cones, jog along the inside of the cones and do the various exercises on the way. After the last cone, they run back along the outside. On the way back, speed can be increased progressively as players warm up.
