Station #2 - Numbers up attacking
Numbers up Attacking
- Set up as shown in diagram, 4-6 players on each side.
- Coach has all the balls on side of the field.
- Coach will play pass to either Red or Blue and call out a number, the team receiving the ball will send out that many players (whatever coach calls out) and the defending team will send out ONE PLAYER LESS to create numbers up for attacking team.
- The nearest players to the coach come out to play.
- When ball goes out the players on field go back to their team line furthest away from coach.
- Play in new ball but play pass to other team so both teams get to attack and defend.
- Keep score and play until a certain amount of goals.
Coaching Points:
- You choose on what to focus on; again keep it to NO more than a 2-3 key topics.

Station #2 - Combination Finishing
Combination Finishing
- Set up as shown in diagram, go to a big goal with GK's.
- See pattern: pass 1 to BLUE player (you don't need a different color, for you to visualize), Blue then plays give & go (pass 2 & 3) with forward player in Red and Blue finishes (#4).
- As soon shot is taken, repeat with a new ball. Keep activity flowing.
- I would use a permanent forward player (Red player) to keep activity flowing.
Coaching Points:
- There are many variations you can use, make sure to change the passing sequence after a few minutes.
- Focus on speed and quality of passes.
- Sharp movement with good timing.
- Quick finish with solid contact on the ball.

Station #1 - 2v1 to goal
2v1 to TWO pug goals:
- Defender in yellow passes to blue attacker whom passes square to other blue attacker and overlaps.
- Then play 2v1 to TWO pugs
- If yellow defender wins ball he must pass ball to blue attacker waiting in line for a goal
- When ball goes off field, repeat with new defender and two new attackers.
- After 2 min, switch attackers and defenders.
Coaching Points:
- You choose on what to focus on... i.e. defender pressing high and low, attackers attacking with speed of play, etc
- Try NOT to go over several topics as it will leave players perplexed on what they should be focusing on
