3v1 Triangles (20 mins)
Organization:
-10-12 Players
-10x10 area (x2 or x3 depending on numbers)
-3v1/4v1 (depending on numbers) keep-away game. Attacking players try to keep possession of the ball by passing it around the area without the defender getting the ball. 5 passes equals a goal. If defender gets the ball or a bad pass is played, then that player becomes the new defender.
Coaching Points:
-Quick passing and combinations
-Movement off the ball to be open/receive
-Communication with team mates
-Player makes a good pass to supporting player only when defender commits.
-Player with ball always needs 2 passing options
-Supporting player moving into open space and calling for pass
-After passing, must start thinking/moving to be open for the next pass
Receiving player opening up and good first touch out
All players on toes and always ready

SSG (15 mins)
Set Up: Quarter field at Pine Glen. Balls along the outside.
6v6 or 7v7.
Players: 2 teams of 6 or 7 players. 1 goalkeeper for each team.
Description: Play 6v6 (including GK) - All regular rules apply, including retreat line. Team that scores stays and quickly attacks the other way (after scoring).
Key Factors:
All coaching points from the session - focus on Possession. Look for players to get in behind there pass and make the right decision as to when to support their pass and when to do a 1-2. Ensure the attacking team is penetrating and supporting at the correct times.
