Playing out from the back, plus attacking principles - the simplicity of passing and how you can create space.

Where central player isn't marked, pass into him, will draw out one of the central midfielders, the quick pass back into one of the positioned CBs, will draw in the striker, but space is now available in the centre of the park and the CM (who has now lost his marker) is available to take the ball on the turn and attack with numercial advantage.

In this scenario, the left full back has won possession from the winger and is blocked in by opposition players when trying to clear. Our instinct and junior training tells us to always send it down the line. If your teammate gets to the ball, its out of danger, if he doesn't, it may go for a throw and win you territory. Downside to this, is it allows the opposition to regroup before you can attack.
The idea here, is we want to break out and attack quickly while the opposition is higher up the field and looking to condence our space. A quick pass into the center mid, sends the ball away from goal, but the CM needs to be prepared for it. Instead of going wide in the same area where you are blocked in, you send the ball deep, back toward your own goal, but to a player who has positioned himself in space. In this instance its the DM, but could also be a CB.
That player can then send the ball into the full back or wide player on the opposite side of the field, they can then drive the ball forward into space, looking for a forward pass while the opposition react.

FOCUS;
- Position of the body, three quarters, never back to play.
- Playing the third man (transition pass)
- Using the deep pass to switch play.
- Look for the transition pass forward.
- When ball is central, attackers need to make runs to push the defenders back.
- Always look for numerical advantage.
- Don't use the flank until final third unless to lure players out wide

Playing out of trouble;
Centre backs are spread wide for the short, but keeper chooses the central option. Quick pass into CB, then into FB eleveates the pressure.
PROGRESSION;
Where central player isn't marked, this can still lead to a different opportunity, especially where wide players are covered. Next image...
