Shooting Drill - 20 minutes
Organisation
Pass played from goaline into striker (in front of mannequin), striker takes touch then lay off into the path of player making curved run across the front to attempt first time finish. two groups going at once.
Rotation / Progression (swap to practise on left side)
- A becomes B, B becomes C, C joins opposite line
- instead of shot on goal, C plays reverse pass to B to finish (new rotation - A to C, C to B, B to opposite line)
Coaching Points
- accuracy / weight of pass
- bodyshape to receive and accuracy/ weight of lay off
- timing of run across to receive
- accuracy of finish
- striker in for rebounds

Conditioned Game - 20 mins
Organisation
Teams line up 1-2-1-3-1 as shown. Two 6 yard zones in front of the 18 yard boxes. Players must stay in zones out of possession, free movement in possession.
Variations
1) Striker able to drop into zone to receive and link
2) Striker must stay long but a midfielder can move into zone to receive
Coaching Points
- looking to recreate pattern from shooting drill and re-emphasis technical coaching points
- leave passing lane open to striker
- timing of support run to receive lay off from striker
- creativity and imagination once in final third

Organisation
Two groups of 7 players . Each group has 2 balls each. Passing and moving in the area. Stop at relevant points for dynamic stretching.
Variations
1) 3 touch pass and move to a player of same colour
2) Must pass into a different square
3) 2 touch pass and move
4) Must receive between two opposing players
- Move to 1 ball each group
5) 1 touch and sprint into a different square
6) 2 ball possession game
7) 1 ball possession game

- Gradually build up tempo, dynamic stretches at relevant times
- Accuracy and weight of passing
- Awareness - body position so aware where both balls are
