Stage: Stage 1
Set Up:
Two starting gates, 15 - 20 yards apart, with two large cones about 5 yards apart in the middle and balls
Time:
10 - 15 mins ( work for 1 minute then 30-60 sec rest)
Organization:
Groups of three players in each station. Side that starts off with the ball has two players. Player will dribble around both cones then go to the otherside and leave the ball for their teammate. This repeats 3 times for each player or for a minute time limit.
Alternates:
Figure 8 through the cones
Can only use right or left foot
Outside of the foot to turn around the cone
Inside of the foot to turn around the cones
Dribble to far cone, turn, dribble to near cone, turn, then dribble to partner
Coaching Points:
Ball Control (Soft Touch, Bring the ball in like an egg toss)
Passing/Recieving (Locked ankle, toe pointed up, inside of foot, chest over ball, eye contact with partner before looking back at ball)
Communication (Eye contact, Verbal, Hand Signals) *BE SPECIFIC*
Conditioning (Pace of Play)
Dribbling (Soft half touch, pinky toe, toes pointed down)
