Introduce dribbling and running with the ball. Show the players how to dribble on a futsal court and allow them to experiment with different moves, at different speeds.

Objective: Engage players and challenge them to try different moves
Set up: Set up four stations as shown. Have the players dribble around the triangle in various patterns, with both feet and using every part of the foot.
Instructions: Demo a dribble/push/roll to manipulate the ball around the triangle. At the coaches command, have the players duplicate the moves. Make it a competition by using a group scoring system that encourages speed of play, using the correct move/terminology and staying in control of the ball. Put your own spin on it. Try various moves, combinations, both feet and encourage creativity by allowing them to come up with their own moves.

Objective: Learn how and when to use various types of moves
Set up: Set up 4 squares as shown. The squares should be big enough for the players to be able to try their moves. Play 4v1 or 5v2, as appropriate.
Instructions: On coaches command, the players in possession try to connect passes and do a move inside the square, for a point. Make it a competition, (i.e. time, certain move, only certain player can go in the square, or can't use previous square. Come up with your own.

Guided Questions: 1. How can we use the moves to create space? 2.How do we create space? 3. What move is more effective?
Answers: 1.By being able to use the moves in the direction that takes us away from the defender. 2. By using faints, along with changing speed and direction. Get your head up and see the entire court. 3. It's the move that allows you effectively take the defender on. Stop the game (show the players options) and let the players experiment with different moves.

Set up: Set up a full FUTSAL game
Instructions: Using FUTSAL rules, play a game with minimal coaching.
