Set up in a 4-2-4/2-4-4.
Rotate to a 3-box-3 as shown in the diagram.
Gives overload in the first line to beat the front 2 and the opposition to play over the press into the pocket.

Rotation 1 - shown on right side:
Ballside 8 moves forward and drags marker with him.
This opens up space for the 7/11 to move into the half space and receive the ball.
Rotation 2 - shown on right side:
Ballside 8 moves out wide and drags marker with him.
This opens up space for the 7/11 to move into the half space and receive the ball.
Rotation 3 - shown on left side:
Full back inverts and 7/11 drops down the line to receive the ball
CB - Dribble and fix:
Centre back has the option to drive with the ball and then play round the opponent who they fix.
Important that the deeper midfielder drops in to be a passing option if the 9 presses the CB and to give cover and balance.

CB plays into the same side 6/8 who bounces a pass to the other CB who can then progress the ball on that side.

Ballside FB drops low, who bounces a pass back to the GK who has dropped down the line and can play to the other CB who is 2v1 against the other winger.

Set up in a 4-2-4/2-4-4.
Play short into CB's/6's. Set back to GK/CB's who play long to the front 4:
Option 1: 7 and 11 drop into the pocket - play into one of them and the 6's run beyond their markers to support
Option 2: 9 and 10 drop into the pocket - play into one of them and the 6's run beyond their markers to support

Against a 4-4-2 mid block: overload first line to allow wide rotation.
One CM drops in the defensive line - either between the centre backs who go wide or (as shown) between a CB and FB - to create numerical superiority in the first line.
This allows for a 3v2 to be created in wide areas and exploited as follows:
Option 1: full back stays level with the winger - play into them and they use their first touch to get beyond them and leave a 2v1 against the full back.
Option 2: CM/CBcontinues to drive with the ball to engage the winger before passing beyond him to leave the 2v1 against the full back.
Option 3: winger drops down the line to receive and the full back goes into the pocket. Winger goes 1v1 against the full back or combines with the full back in a 2v1.
