Time-Based Scenario

How it works:

  • The attacking team is a goal down and has 11 minutes to win the game. 
  • The defending team has to defend their lead. 
    • Goals in the mini-goals take 1 minute off the clock but do NOT add to their score (must defend their 1 goal lead) 
Looking for:

  • Self-organisation (point, name, action) - really clear under pressure under who is doing what
  • Critical moment marking focus - must win "your moment" in the circle GIFTS (Get In Front To Score)
  • Attacking rotations
    • DICE - 5 in the circle
CHANGE IT:
  • A: Make pitch bigger for more counter focus
  • N: 10 v 10 outfield so its simialr to a game

DICE Explained

When we enter the final third, we are looking to get players into the DICE posititions (looks like the number 5 on a dice)

  • Both "shoulders" of the circle with an option
  • "Head" of circle free for an on-ball circle entry by the ball carrier
  • Player in zone 5 or the " heart" of the circle
  • The "help-side" baseline player can become back post as the ball enters the circle
