Set up
Move into a half pitch game, where the blue team attack the goal and the red team defend with the incentive for the red team that if they win the ball then they retain possession and try to score by breaking through any of the 3 sets of cones on the halfway line.
When the ball goes dead play will always resume from the centre circle.
Blue team can only score when the ball has been played into both of the wide channels to encourage switching the play and attacking using both sides of the pitch.

Set up
Finish the session with half pitch small sided game, with 1 floater in each of the wide channels. The floaters play for the team that is in possession to create an overload and encourage the ball to be switched wide as that is where the advantage will be.

Identifying when to switch the play (15 mins)
Set up
Area set out into equal thirds.
Reds play the ball between them in their area and try to switch the play through the central zone to the blue team. When the blue team receive the ball they try to do the same and play through back to the red team.
If the black team intercept the ball then they take the place of the team that gave the ball away.
Move game on by allowing 1 defender to go into the end zone where the ball is to apply pressure to the team trying to play the pass.
Also allow one player from the opposite side the option of going into the central zone to receive the ball and play out to his team as another way to switch the play.
