SET UP:
35X30 pitch divided in half. Two teams of 5 with extras rotating in.
Two players start in each half for both teams. One server for each side starts between the two goals.
Ball starts with the Blue server who plays to one of his teammates (B1/B2). The three players then combine to play forward to one of the forwards in the opposing half (B3/B4) creating a 2v2. Either B1 or B2 is allowed to go and support to create a 3v2 overload.
Play continues if Red win the ball. If a goal is scored or ball goes out then players return to positions and play restarts from opposing server.
KEY POINTS:
Attacking
- When to play forward/when to retain possession
- Movement off the ball
- Supporting runs
- Communication
Defensive
- Prevent forward play
- Drop and narrow
- Opportunities to press
POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS:
- Server can play directly to forwards (if limited success)
- Can only play back to server once
- Server becomes third defender when other team attacking to create 3v3
Final Progression - 5v5 game

SET UP: 30x25 pitch. Two teams with GKs.
KEY POINTS:
Two blue players start with a ball against two red players. Play until goal or ball is out. Two blue players now become defenders against two new reds.
1. Attack first
2. Transistion to defense
*If defending pair win ball, they must score in order to stay on pitch. Otherwise they are replaced by new pair.
POTENTIAL PROGRESSIONS:
1. Play starts from goalkeeper (how can we create a quick counter?)
2. If a team scores, they stay on pitch - receive new ball from GK and play against two new defenders.
3. Add in neutral bumper players on each side (limited to 3 secs on ball)
