Objective:Passing and receiving on the back foot.
Organization:
- Players are position on the four corners of the grid with players occupying the two cones placed in the center of the grid. Balls start on opposite ends of the grid.
-Pass A to B to C to D then long pass and 75% run to opposite cone.
Variation: Counterclockwise direction.
Coaching Points:
Visual checking before receiving a pass.
-All players use both feet and inside foot to receive pass.
-Control with a turn (Inside players).
-Rapid movement to support the ball carrier.
-The intensity and speed of play should be high.
-Movements with the ball should be sharp and deliberate.
-Receiving the ball in an open position towards depth.
Interval Duration: 2 intervals x 5 minues; 10 minutes.

Organization:
32x10 yd area, with an 8yd zone in the center for the defenders
3 groups of 4 set up as shown
Instructions:
- 4v1 in box
- team in possession trys to connect set number of passes (3 or 4), then play the ball to the opposite side with a lofted pass
- if the ball is succesfully played across the area, the receiving team controls the ball and looks to connect their own 3 or 4 passes before switching the ball back with another lofted pass
- defending team sends in a new defender every time the ball is switched
- 1pt for succesfully playing the ball accross the area, bonus point if the ballis played over the heads of the defenders
- if defending team wins the ball, or it is played out of bounds, the defending team is replaced by the team that lost possession

Key Factors
Playing out from the back,starting of from the GK. the white team are trying to pass and combine play and work towards the halfway zone in order to score. If the defending team win the ball they have 5
seconds to get a shot on goal.
Organisation
Set half a pitch 50 yrds x 40 yards with a goal at one end of pitch and a zoned goal at the half way line.

CB's Split, FB's high and wide, CM drop in to space,
Rotation on the CM's
Body position to recieve, revieve on back foot.
Quality of pass and conrol.

Ball Manipulation (10 mins)
Organization
- All players in a 20 x 20 area
- Balls are placed somewhere in the area away from any particular player
Activity
- Players move around the area in different ways, jogging, skipping, jumping etc.
- On the coaches call or signal the players move to a ball. Once at the ball the player will to 5 repetitions of a ball manipulation chosen by either the coach or one of the players e.g Pull Push, inside outside
- The players will then attempt to complete this as many times as possible on different soccer balls around the area
- The coach will then call stop after 30 seconds and ask who got round the most balls.
- The coach will then set the players off moving around the area again having given another ball manipulation excercise when they signal go.
Coaches Emphasis
- Be aware of next ball
- Focus on the quality of the ball manipulations
- Encourage players to work with quality and speed if possible.
