A continuous overload game that can be used as a starting point for a SSG or as a stand alone excercise.
Each passage of play can continue until a goal is scored (as described in the session plan) or for a set time period.
If the ball goes out of play the coach serves in another ball to ensure the game continues at a quick pace.

The blue player has successfully beaten the red defender and scored a goal.

As soon as the goal is scored a second red player enters the field, receives a pass from the coach and the reds now play 2v1 against the blue defender until another goal is scored.
Coaching points:
The reds must now work together to beat the blue defender and create a shooting opportunity.
The blue defender must first identify the danger man (the man with the ball) and close him down; 5S's.

Quick pass sees the reds create a scoring chance.

As soon as the goal is scored 2 blue players enter the field creating a 3v2 overload in the blues favour.
Play will continue until another goal is scored, then the 2 remaining reds join to create a 4v3 overload in the reds favour.

Once the next goal has been scored the final player can join the game and play continues 4v4 for a set time before resetting the game and starting again with 1v1.

Coach has a supply of balls.
One player from each team enters the field and play 1v1. The coach serves the ball in to begin play.
Play will continue until one of the players scores.
Coaching points, attacker:
Receiving the ball, getting a good first touch.
Awareness of your opponent's position.
Try and beat your opponent before shooting.
Accuracy of shot, note the position of thr goalkeeper.
Coaching points, defender:
Remember your 5S's. Shut down, slow down, stand up, sideways, safety.
