  • Five touches pick move - let the player choose - 45 seconds
  • 1pt for good foot - 45 seconds
  • 2pt for week foot - 45 seconds
  • Five touches of the ball - worst move - 45 seconds
  • Five touches of the ball - best movement - 45 seconds

+ Progression - Coach calls a number, i.e., Coach calls "4". Players must react and touch four balls. While players are doing the task, the coach takes two balls away. The last two players to get to 4 balls are defenders. Defenders are encouraged to steal the ball from another player. If they are successful, then the player keeps the ball, and that player becomes a defender.

Set up:

  • Set up a regular field based on age and ability.
  • Place two mannequins (cones or poles) in the center.
  • Have a player from each team #2 stand with their back to mannequins.
  • After playing players rotate, 1 rests, 2 becomes defender, 3 becomes the attacker

Rules: Play starts on the coach's command.

  • Player #1 passes diagonally into #2. #2 receives and turns towards the goal behind them. After passing, #1 comes out and defends the opposing team #2. Making it a 1v1
  • Which team scores first gets the point.

Progression:

1. If one team finishes before the other or the ball goes dead, those players can help teammates make it a 2v2.

2. Add keepers. If the keeper saves, they can roll out to a defender who can counter.

Scoreboard: Flip cone for goals scored. Two points if you score on a counter.

End Zone with goals

Set up a 30x20 Field with x2 5x20 endzones at the ends of the field (blue/red). Playe blue vs. red.  Place soccer balls along the sidelines. Players must dribble the ball into the opposing team's end zone in order to have a shot on goal. Defenders can enter the endzone. Every time the ball goes out of play, any player on the team that didn't have possession before can re-start the play by dribbling in any of the balls on the outside.

+ Players can shoot from anywhere, but a goal from a player dribbling into the endzone is worth 10.
