Tag (5 mins)

Organization:

  • 30x20
  • 3 taggers

Instructions:

  • Turtle Tag - 3 turtle taggers have 1 minute to try and tag as many players as possible. If tagged players lay on their back like a turtle.

  • Players who haven't been tagged push the turtle(player) onto their front and now they are back in the game. 

  • Banana Tag - 3 Taggers have 1 minute to try and tag as many players as possible. If tagged players turn into a banana and stand with the their hands in the air pushed together. 

  • Players who haven't been tagged peel the banana (players hands) and now they are back in the game.

  • Shower Tag - 3 Taggers have 1 minute to try and tag as many players as possible. Once tagged the players turn into a shower.

  • Players who haven't been tagged save the tagged players by washing under their shower.

Hide from the Giant (10 mins)

Organization:

  • 30x20
  • 1 player 1 ball
  • tall cones (trees)
  • coach (giant)

Instructions:

  • Players dribble inside the square (forest)
  • Players attempt to dribble around the trees (tall cones)
  • Coach (giant) calls out 'I can see you" Players must dribble to a tree and hide behind the tree. (players smoother their ball and get low to the ground.
  • Coach (giant) walks around the forest looking for the players.
  • coach (giant) lifts up cone (tree) if players are behind the tree they must attempt to find another tree.

Coaching Points:

  • Head up
  • Close control
  • Inside touches to get around the trees.
  • Quick reaction to hide from the giant.

Giant's Castle (10 mins)

Organization:

  • 30x20 
  • 10 - 16 players
  • number of balls depending on how many players
  • coach (giant) 

Instructions:

  • Coach (Giant) has all the balls (golden soccer balls) in his castle.
  • Players tip toe towards the soccer balls.
  • If the giant turns around players must stand like a statue.
  • If the giants sees the players move he will run at them.
  • Players must run back to the start.
  • If the players reach the balls they must get 1 ball and dribble it back outside the castle

  • Quick reaction to not get caught
  • Close control of ball
  • Timing of run

Avoid the Giant (10 mins)

Organization:

  • 30x20
  • 1 ball 1 player
  • Coach (giant)
  • Blue pinnies (diamond) 

Instructions:

  • Players must avoid the giant and get through the castle grounds
  • Players that are caught by the giant turn into small goblins
  • Players can be set free if a player can steal a diamond (blue pinnie) from the coach
  • Giant must kick the soccer ball out the square to capture the players.

  • Change of direction

  • Head up

  • Change of speed

Giant Battle (5 mins)

Organization:

  • 1 ball per player
  • Coach (giant)
  • 30x20

Instructions:

  • Players meet the giant at the top of the beanstalk for a battle
  • Players use their golden soccer balls to strike against the giant
  • If the ball strikes the coach (giant) 3 times he slows down. 5 hits the giant falls to the ground and the players win. 

Coaching Points:

  • Head up
  • How to follow through with your pass
  • What part of the foot to use
