Exercise 1: Passing Drill (20 mins)

Organisation:

20x20 grid.

-1 central stasion.

-Players spread evenly.

Exercise:

-Pass and move in rotation.

-Play pass and move to next staion.

-Continuos action.

-5 minutes then switch direction.

Progression:

--2 players in middle act as defenders .other players move inside th grid and aim to keep possession. Switch defenders on turn over.

Exercise 2: Dribbling/Running with the ball (20 mins)

Organisation:

-As many lanes as necessary of10 wide 20 long with a cone placed halfway up in the middle.

Exercise:

-Player moves forward with the ball and once they get to the cone they move to the left or the right of the cone and then they play a pass to players opposite.

-Next player then performs same role.

-Do this contious getting players to increase tempo.

Progression:

-Place defender in the middle with same goal.

Exercise 3: Shooting (20 mins)

Organisation:

15x15 grid.

-Players evenly spread on cones.

-GK in goal.

Exercise:

-A player passes the ball to a player opposite.

-That player takes a touch and then strikes at goal.

-The other player then does the same role.

-Players rotate clockwise after very two shots.

Progression:

-Player making a pass becomes a defender.

Exercise 4: Turning away from an opponenet (20 mins)

Organisation:

-10x20 lanes

-Players on outside and 2 in middle back to back.

Exercise:

-Players outside make a pass to the players in the middle.

-The players receive the ball then turn away from each other then play ball to player opposite.

-Players outside then move to the middle.

Progression:

-Blue player in midle becomes a defender and they play 1v1 with attackr aiming to keep ball from defender and play to the opposite side.
