Description
The focus of the session is to introduce the players to futsal and the individual foundations of the game when attacking. We will work on ball mastery multiple surface control, attacking 1v1 moves & skill application, correct technique for the first touch both receiving and preparation and to introduce the player's Futsal gameplay rules and regulations.
Coaches should be identifying the below criteria in the session and breaking it down using the pillars of the game making sure you're ticking all boxes.
Below are some suggestions of what to consider when catering the sessions for your groups
Technical: what attribute or team concept you are asking the players to learn & How it's taught & performed breaking it down for the players
Tactical: Who the positions or player that it relates to, Where & When to use the attribute or team concept, this could be a moment or relate to a third of the field/area, or a visual or audio trigger. Why we use this attribute or team concept. this should emphasize the decision-making process & reason behind the choices to answer questions the game asks of the player
Physical: Correct Motor Skill development for your specific to topic and age, Relation of movement to a topic, Work to rest ratio of your activities, energy, and tempo of your session, pushing the boundaries on physical goals for the group and individuals.
Physiological: having competition through the stages of the session, goal setting what you want to achieve with the group what do they want to achieve as players. setting a standard of practice throughout with a high level of expectation
Social: The environment you create for your players, promoting leadership and teamwork, establish a greeting and level of respect with your player's, Engagement with the players both assertive & helpful with a little added banter.
MVP points System
The player MVP system is a staple of the program and one we use to set competition from the start of the session to the finish between each individual
The way the system works every player has 5 MVP points to start, Players can win more points by applying themselves to each activity with full commitment trying their hardest to progress, and being awarded points by the coach
Players can also win points during each activity by scoring the most points for that activity and for that they will pick up 2 MVP points from the coach.
We also use the point system to reinforce good standards like staying in bounds, not bumping into other players, and good behavior. the player can lose their points when these standards are not met. Try to use it as a motivator, not a punishment.
Once the players get used to this system they will become more responsible for their own development

Restarts
Kickoffs: are indirect. The ball must be played forward first. Tapped balls are not in play – the ball must move forward.
Kickins: are indirect. The ball must be placed on or no more than 10 inches behind the line and the kick must be taken within 4 seconds. The kicker's non-kicking foot must be out of bounds or on the line. (A kickin that goes directly in the opposing goal is a goal clearance for the opposing team. A kickin that goes directly in the defensive goal is a corner kick of the opposing team.)
Goal Clearances: are taken when the ball wholly crosses the goal line after being touched last by the attacking team. The goalkeeper must use his hands to roll, bounce or throw the ball from anywhere inside the penalty area to outside the penalty area.
Corner Kicks: are direct. The ball must be placed directly on the corner spot and the kick must be taken within 4 seconds.
Free Kicks: may be indirect or direct. The ball must be stopped completely before the kick may be taken.
Penalty Kicks: are taken from the penalty spot 20 feet from goal and must be shot at goal by a clearly identified kicker. Defenders may not be nearer to the ball than 16 feet and must be behind an imaginary line running from touchline to touchline even with the penalty spot.
Distance: For all of the above, except goal clearances, opponents may not be closer to the ball than 16 feet.
Ceiling: If the ball hits the ceiling or other object, the team that did not touch the ball last restarts play with a kickin from the nearest point on the touchline.
