Main Moment: BPO
Key Principle: Press the ball immediately.
Football Problem (using the 5W’s):
What: Opposition #5, #2, #3 & #4 have to much time, and as a result they are combining with there midfield #6 & #8.
Who: #6, #9, #10, #11,#7 & #8
Where: front 3rd
When: When there #3, #4 get the ball.
Why: #9, #10, #11,#7 lack the urgency to press the ball carrier.
Football Problem: Failed to apply effective pressure in the final 3rd to stop the opposition #3, #4, #5 and #2 from play out and combining with there #6 & #8 in central areas.
Session Objective: I aim to improve out teams ability to close down our opponents in there back 3rd limiting there opportunity to build up and combine with there #6 and #8 in central areas.
Team Tasks: (Team in BPO)
1.Nearest player to the ball try to stop them playing forward and combining with there #6 & #8.
Players Tasks:

-"Win the ball back as quick as possible or forcing the defender to play back/side wards".
-(#9, #11 or #7) to support each other across the front, as a collective.
-Midfielders (#6,#8 and #10) exploit the passing lanes to steal or intercept the ball.
-(#7 & #11) look to cover #6 & #8 in the middle and create a 3v2 in central area.
-Can the front players (#9,#11 or #7) position them self to support and create a 2 v 1
Player Cue's:
- As the ball is travelling to the #3 or #4 can #9 , #11, #7 make a tackle.
-When either of the front 3 engage the defender, #10, #6 or #8 get in front of the opposition midfield to steal or intercept the ball.
-Midfield (#6, #8 & #10) move to cut out the forward pass before the ball carrier gets in line with our front players.
