C - plays the ball into the blue CB's (#4 or #5). The two CB's make passes to move the red defenders. Red #6 & #8 role is to prevent balls into blue CF #9.
If the reds win the ball they can keep possession with the help of the gk with the goal being finding red targets #8 & #10. The red #8 & #10 now can score if they receive the ball within their highlighted zone.
Focus areas: eg. (Emphasis was on us pressing with high intensity from our shape, closing the lines between defense, midfield & attack & moving in relation to the ball)..
At the start, have the blue team move the ball methodically to enhance the coaching of the red team.
Red team - how do they stay connected.
What problems do they face?
Can the blue #9 drop off the Red CBs to create a problem?
Can the red defenders shrink the field to limit the blue teams spreading them out?
Key factors: eg. (movement & cues of opponents, angles of closing down).
