Set up:
- 2 goals
- 3 sets of pinnies
Instructions
1. Switch the point of attack
- One point for playing side to side without a loss of possession
- Two points for scoring a regular goal
- Three points for using a target player beside the goal to bounce the ball in for a goal
- First to score five points wins. Rotate teams and players after each round or four minute game.
Coaching Points:
Attack: Spacing in possession (Dont crowd the ball).Look Far with passing (Depth, pass first and assess other options after). Speed of play and rhythm of ball movement.
Defence: Step forward and pressure passes inside thearea. Correct attitude in
defending(Aggressive, Press, Intercept, Tackle)

Organization:
40*35 grid - split in half. Two large goals. Supply of balls along the outside. 3 teams of 4-6 players, two GKs in goal. Adjust according to numbers.
Instructions:
- Players take part in a 4v4 game.
- Main condition is that each player must remain in their own half. Three in the defending half and one in the attacking zone.
- Play timed rounds of 3 minutes. Objective for the attackers is to shoot on goal and score! Winning team stays. Rotate through the 3 teams.
Coaching Points:
- Head down, follow through. Shooting foot should be the first to hit the ground after swing.
- Plant foot placed beside the ball, pointed in the direction you want the ball to go.
- Lock the ankle.
- Strike through the center to bottom half of the ball.
- Create space for your shot. (Take touch on an angle)
- Defensively- Pressure Cover Principals when pressuring attackers

Organization: 20 by 15 area with a 5 by 5 area in the middle, 3 Teams of 4,
Instructions:
- Players play 4v4 with one defending team in the middle box (Can also be 5v5)
- Defending team sends one player in to defend.
- After three passes attacking team passes the ball through the open channels located along the sides of the grid for a point.
- If team loses the ball they become the defending team and the defending team takes their place as the attacking team. If the pass is successful play continues and defending team send in a new defender on the opposite side.
- First team to 3 points wins
Rotation for 4 teams: Team that loses the ball becomes defending team in the box, Defending team goes out as the next team up, Team that is out moves into the empty grid of the team who lost the ball.
Coaching Points:
Switch the point of attack (Pass to lead foot) Cb's and Cm's
Bounce passes when back is to goal, move side to side (St)
Open up body to play forward (Wing Players)
Transition quickly
Look to break lines
Progressions:
Level 1 - Open Touch - 3 passes
Level 2 - Must play Striker - 3 passes
Level 3 - Must score one touch - 3 passes
Level 4 - All One Touch
Level 5 to 8 - Repeat Level 1-4 but add two defenders
Level 9 - Defenders can steal the ball and score on the other side.

Set up:
30x20 field
4 gates (2x2)
30 cones
8 balls
3 sets of pinnies
Instructions:
- Defending player (1) passes the ball diagonally across to the first attacking player in line.
- Two attackers attempt to score by dribbling through the two gates in front of them.
- If the defender wins the ball, they can then attempt to get through the two gates in front of their team.
- Play continues until the ball goes out or players dribble through the gates for a point.
**Progression:
- Add a second defender that comes in to defend from (2) after the attacking players cross the cones at half
Coaching Points:
Attack
- Change of direction, change of pace
- First touch towards the opponent (Open foot to 90 degrees)
- Use the gates to unbalance defenders (Attack one to open up the other)
- Create a 2 vs 1 with overlap and underlap
Defend
- Defenders close down (big steps, small steps, jockey)
- Defenders make the attack predictable
- We must defend well in training to improve our 1v1 attack. Once we improve the attack, we must improve the defending
