Red team set up in a 'Y-shape' to defend the goal and penalty area to force the other team to play BACK away from the RED goal.
Each player in the RED team has to take responsibility for one opposition player and stick to that.
Note the set up from the GK.
Green GK must be slightly in front of the post and RED defender 1 must be one metre in front of the goal line to allow the GK to defend that space (shaded area).
Red 2 must be on the edge of the area, ready to go.
Red 3 matches up with 3 but protects the gap between Red 1 and 2.
Red 4 deal with the other 4 but it is important that they do not go beyone the far post (yellow marked line). If they were to mark 4 tightly, they would allow them to run into the space in front of him.
The 'trigger' for the red to team to start their pressure is when the kick is taken and NOT before. Do not be fooled by any feints or tricks to take the corner and initiate the movement of the red team.
