Football/Soccer Session (Beginner): U12 pass, move, shoot

Y Drill (youth) (20 mins)

1. Yellow passes blue, blue passes orange, orange dribbles back to start, all players move where their pass went. (alternate, so next would be yellow pass blue, blue passes green, green dribbles back).

2. Yellow passes blue, blue lays off for orange, orange dribbles back. (alternate)

3. Yellow passes orange, orange passes blue, blue lays off for orange, orange dirbbles back. (alternate)

4. Yellow passes orange, orange plays ball thru, blue dummy's, green runs onto ball and dribbles back (shown in diagram, alternate)

5. Yellow passes blue, blue passes orange, orange passes green, green dribbles back. (alternate)

6. Yellow passes blue, blue passes orange, orange passes green, green plays thru to orange with blue dummying. (alternate)

Zone shift game (15 mins)

2 goals to 2 goals. As many players as needed and space to reflect that.

You can only score in a goal if all of your players are with that third and the one next to you.

Eg. If the team attacking goals A and B, have the ball in zone 1 ready to shoot on goal A, all players must be in zone 1 or 2 before or as the ball is kicked in order for a goal to be scored. If one player is still in zone 3, it will be no goal and start with the other team from the endline. First pass is always free.
